YongheElementary School symbolizes a green beryl in YongheCity. If you access in the door from Sioulang Road, you may see a beautiful round planting, ordered royal palms on both sides, gardens and woods. The campus is filled with lots of green woods. Although it is not so big, thousands of teachers and students always get together. Each corner of the campus is cleaned. The bowers are the game place for children. The ecological park elevates the quality of ecological education and makes YongheElementary School be filled with green environment; and setting up the recycling yard makes the YongheElementary School implement more eco responsibilities. The whole YongheElementary School is like a green beryl in YongheCity and is clean with green forever.

Under cordial effort of previous principles and teachers towards teaching, YongheElementary School has developed various directions of learning activities. Science education emphasizes on materials related to daily life to make the children develop spirit of innovation and research emphasizing on experiments and operations to have spirit of scientific experiments established in children’s life; in addition to improve educational equipment for information education, the installation of class’s homepage, elevation of information literacy for teachers and catering for general computer learning are the main points for development of information education; English education emphasizes on teachers’ professionalization, materials related to daily life and vivid courses, including making video communication for English teaching programs. Multiple measurements also encourage children's interest and motive power to learn English; homeland education combines community resources to implement homeland study, and the development group for homeland materials is established for compiling "Our Homeland, YongheCity”. Moreover, “Everybody comes to find out Yonghe Treasures”, a learning activity of homeland series is held to cultivate children’s emotion for their homeland; as for group education, not only the sixth and seventh groups of Chinese music are also established to provide children more opportunities and environment to learn Chinese music, but also multiple clubs such as choir, lion dance team, basketball team are established to let children’s learning opportunities and directions become wider. Hsi-Chou branch school of Changhe Public School was established on April 1st, 1922.

The independent His-ChouPublic School was established on April 1st, 1927.

The name of school was changed to TaipeiCounty, JhongheTownship, His-ChouElementary School on April 1st, 1945.

Jhonghe was divided as township on April 1st, 1958, and the name of school was changed to TaipeiCounty, YongheTownship, YongheElementary School.

The period of compulsory education was extended on August 1st, 1968, and the name of school was changed to TaipeiCounty, YongheTownship, YongheElementary School.

YongheTownship was upgraded to a county municipality on Jan. 1st, 1979, and the name of school was changed to TaipeiCounty, YongheCity, YongheElementary School.
